How to Measure Sector Rotation
Each sector ETF is plotted by relative strength (RS-Ratio) and momentum (RS-Momentum) versus the S&P 500. That places it in one of four quadrants — Leading, Weakening, Lagging, or Improving — and tracking how it rotates through them reveals where market leadership is flowing.

How to Use the RRG Graph
Sectors rotating into Leading are typically read as strengthening, and those rotating into Lagging as weakening.
